Back in September, Nippon Motion hosted the Baltimore Japan Art Festival. Held in the city’s Station North Arts District, the annual event celebrates all things Japanese visual culture, including art, film, and crafts.
As part of this year’s festivities, world-famous Japanese illustrator Yusuke Nakamura paid a visit to MICA’s Rosenberg Gallery—and I was lucky enough to be there! In conjunction with his official gallery opening, Nakamura presented a special lecture on artistic inspiration for aspiring creatives and fans alike.
If you’re interested in learning what Yusuke Nakamura had to say about his journey to becoming a professional illustrator, head over to Yatta-Tachi and read my summary of his speech!
